The Old Operating Theatre Museum: After Hours

October 20, 2015 @ 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm

| £17.00

Imagine a life without anaesthetic. Now step back in time to when that was the case. Join The Side Room at our After Hours museum visit to The Old Operating Theatre – the most unusual museum in London and the oldest in Europe.

Hidden in the timbered Herb Garret (the space under the roof where the St. Thomas’s Apothecary used to store and cure herbs), and part of the old St Thomas’s Hospital, few museums have such a strange and fascinating history.

Wander at leisure – through this beautifully restored museum – whilst sipping a glass of wine. Then be treated to a curated tour – which ends with a talk in the old operating theatre – about the old hospital and life before anesthetics and antiseptics.

Meet, listen, learn, taste, explore.

Men are welcome as guests of women attending.

Ticket price: £17.00

There are a very limited number of *tickets available for this event and they can ONLY be purchased online.

*There will be no tickets on the door.
