UCL Art Museum After Hours: Become A Curator
Have you ever wondered how curators work with museum collections to create exhibitions? Have you ever thought you might do a better job?
If so, then join us for a chance to curate your own display of prize-winning work by women artists at UCL Art Museum. Over the course of an evening, you will see some of our collection of exceptional works by Winifred Knights, Dora Carrington and Paula Rego amongst others. Working with the staff at UCL Art Museum to think about what goes into an exhibition, you will decide which works are on display and discuss the ins and outs of curatorial practice
Meet, listen, learn, taste, explore
Ticket price: £15.00 (including a glass of champagne).
Men are welcome as guests of women attending
The UCL Art Museum’s collections contain over 10,000 objects including paintings, drawings, prints and sculpture dating from 1490 to the present day. Works on paper are housed in a traditional Print Room setting in the museum, and paintings and sculpture are displayed in public rooms around college. The collection was founded in 1847 with a gift of the sculpture models and drawings of the Neo-classical artist John Flaxman
